Everyday in May 7-8
EDM 7 - A tin from my kithchen. This is a tea container from Kusmi Tea, lovely tea and lovely a lovely little tin.
EDM 8 - A piece of jewellery. This is one earring from a set of earrings and a necklace that my husband gave me for our fifth wedding anniversary.
I also completed EDM 270 - draw something you want to preserve. This is my daughter Alice painting a dinosaur at her little easel. I would like to preserver our companionship, and intimacy. Our doing things together, having fun, drawing and painting, or anything really. I really want to see her grow up, and I always want to be her friend.
This is really only a quick sketch. Painting people is hard for me, and this just feels blotchy and very rough. I honestly don't know what I would do next if I were to continue work on this one. Any suggestions?

A very nice series of drawings. I'm not familiar with that kind of tea, but the tin is very charming. Your daughter is lovely, and you'll cherish this drawing in the days to come. Well done! nancy
ReplyDeleteBeautiful sketches! And the post is so meaningful, especially the one with your daughter, and that you'd want to preserve the companionship ^^ I think everyone would agree to that indefinitely!
ReplyDeleteVery nice journal pages! I wish I had a suggestion for drawing people, but I struggle with that too.
ReplyDeleteI think you have the spirit of your relationship captured in your drawing. Maybe rather than do something to this now you could start learning about how to draw and paint people more formally then come back to it when you are ready? I love your tin too. I hope the tea is as nice as the tin looks.
ReplyDeleteNice sketches! I think you did a great job on your daughter.
ReplyDeleteFun pieces. You daughter looks sweet.
ReplyDeleteLovely sketches, especially of your daughter! I think it would be neat to keep a sketchbook of your daughter as she grows, so you can see how much she changes along the way. Oh, and do hope the little ones are feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteWonderful sketches!! The one of your daughter is a treasure!
ReplyDeleteI love the tin - you have given it such character!
